IRONHOLM

Ironholm was formed in Vancouver, British Columbia in 2019 by five musicians who had grown disillusioned with everything soft. Their early rehearsals, recorded on a single condenser microphone in a concrete basement, circulated through the regional underground before the band had played a single show. The demo Ironholm (2020) established the template: long-form compositions built from grinding riffs, orchestral dissonance, and industrial percussion, with vocals pushed to the edge of disintegration.

The debut full-length Ashfall (2021) drew comparisons to Neurosis, Godflesh, and early Wolves in the Throne Room, but Ironholm resisted easy categorisation. A split with Victoria's Dawnburner (2022) pushed further into noise and drone territory, while the EP Void Signal (2023) stripped the sound back to its most violent essentials, four tracks, twenty-two minutes, no concessions. The self-titled second full-length Ironholm (2025) is the culmination of six years of deliberate refinement: eight tracks that move between suffocating weight and unexpected space. It is, by any measure, their finest work.
